Saturday through Sunday: Double-Elimination Tournament - Reddit Thread
The first team to win 16 rounds will be awarded the win. Teams will take turns banning out maps from a list of 7 until a map is decided upon. Players will play a Knife Round to determine sides at the beginning of the match. When the server for a particular match goes up, teams have ten minutes to join before the start of the match.
Winner’s bracket advantage will be applied to keep finals to one match (since a team that goes undefeated through the upper bracket would normally have the potential for two matches in the finals).
Sunday: Single-Elimination Tournament - Reddit Thread
We will use the current Competitive format. Changes to the format may be implemented at the event with consent of all team captains and contingent upon player turnout to provide the best tournament experience.
Season 3 Competitive format can be found here.
Saturday through Sunday: 5v5 Captain’s Mode Double-Elimination Tournament - Reddit Thread
The tournament will be played as Best of 3 double-elimination until the Winners’ Bracket and Losers’ Bracket have finished, at which point a final, 5-round Grand Final will be played between the last two teams. Tournament structure may be changed to Swiss/Round Robin if fewer teams participate. Any changes to tournament structure will be discussed with team captains before being implemented.

Building Challenge - Reddit Thread
The Building Challenge will give you a certain amount of time to wow our judges with your Minecraft building skills. Put together a team of 1-3 people and build the best base based on a scoring system we provide! Use limited resources efficiently to fulfill the objectives and win! This challenge will last all weekend, so you can use it to fill in your down time without interfering with other tournaments.
This tournament will use the original PC edition of Minecraft, which runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux. We will NOT be using the Windows 10 Beta. For more information, please consult this page.

Each player may choose to strike one map before the first round. Strikes are in effect for the duration of the match. Players will agree upon the first map of the remaining available maps. Loser picks the next map.
What?! A Random Challenge has appeared!
You won’t know what these tournaments will be until we announce them during the event. They will be short and sweet, and the winner will receive a prize!
The staff will be running servers all day in the following games. Other servers may be available upon request.
Anything you want! We’re always open to supporting games that the community wants to play. Let us know what games you want to see, and we’ll do what we can to help. We’ll also announce any servers you set up to the entire event, helping you get more bodies in your Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing server!
