Twenty-one years after the first Laclede’s LAN event, we hosted our first ever 21+ Charity LAN Party!
The LAN was held at Bellwether hall, in Lafayette Square. The venue lit up the weekend with games, drinks, and good vibes—all for a great cause. From 4pm Saturday to 4pm Sunday, gamers gathered in a cozy, well-lit venue to raise funds for EI.BO, supporting STEM education in the greater St. Louis area.
The game lineup was stacked: Crab Game, Team Fortress 2, Quake Champions Doom Edition, Half-Life 2 Deathmatch, Golf With Friends, Warcraft 3 Tower Defense, Unreal Tournament ‘99, League of Legends, and plenty more. A standout moment? The Soulcalibur tournament on PlayStation 2—played with DDR dance pads instead of controllers. Chaos and laughter ensued. The bar kept spirits high with beer and cocktails, and the Saint Louis soccer match played on the projector while the LAN action raged on. As a LANFest affiliate, we handed out some awesome prizes, and brunch from Polite Society (yes, mimosas included) was the cherry on top.
